The beliefs we hold about ourselves and our experiences form a continuous narrative that influences every decision we make and every interaction we have with others. Whether stemming from trauma, neglect, instability, or seemingly insignificant events, these beliefs become internalized truths that shape our lives. This ever-present narrative impacts our relationships, self-esteem, and overall well-being.
Struggles such as lack of confidence, people-pleasing, work-related stress, and relationship issues often arise from these internalized beliefs. You might find yourself feeling unhappy, anxious, or depressed without understanding why, leading to a constant search for a solution to fix what feels broken.
My approach to therapy focuses on “finding you” rather than “fixing you.” Many people come to therapy with symptoms like anxiety, depression, trouble sleeping, emotional dysregulation, or difficulty making decisions. These symptoms cause discomfort that we often seek to numb with substances, technology, or various other means unique to each individual.
Instead of numbing or fixing these symptoms, we listen to them. They serve as arrows pointing us toward the core issues that need attention. What do these symptoms reveal about the beliefs that have brought you to this point? What pathways forward do they suggest?
Our therapy together will begin by uncovering the defenses you’ve used to keep yourself safe. These layers of protection, once necessary, may no longer serve you. By reconnecting with and paying attention to the clues your emotions and body provide, we will work to understand your past experiences, how they shaped your worldview, and your place within it.
This deep self-knowledge will help you navigate your struggles more effectively, allowing you to understand what you want, advocate for yourself, and set healthy boundaries.
Every individual, relationship, and situation is unique. Your goals in therapy are yours to decide. I believe in empowering and supporting you on your path to healing, clarity, and peace. There are many paths to wellness, and I am here to help you find and navigate the one that is right for you.
